Established in November 2022, New Glarus Cares is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to enhance New Glarus's well-being. Initially, our efforts were focused on securing funds for the preservation of greenspace adjacent to Candy Cane Park. Teaming up with Only in Wisconsin Giving, the charitable arm of New Glarus Brewing Company, we successfully raised funds to acquire the land. This land is now in the process of being donated to the Village of New Glarus, with the commitment to maintain it as greenspace—an extension of Candy Cane Park, ensuring its enjoyment for present and future generations.

With the land acquisition phase completed and the land donation underway, New Glarus Cares has pivoted its attention towards a new endeavor. We are now dedicated to the revitalization of Candy Cane Park, aiming to replace outdated equipment and construct an inclusive playground. This playground will be designed to cater to children of all ages and abilities within the community. Your support through purchases will play a crucial role in bringing this inclusive playground to life.
